BRXTN is an independent R&B and hip-hop recording artist born in Ashland, Kentucky, who spent the majority of his formative years in the Louisville area. Although his earliest exposure to music came through the church and gospel, BRXTN's artistic identity was shaped by the timeless influence of R&B and hip-hop legends such as D'Angelo, Lauryn Hill, Prince, and Michael Jackson, while drawing modern inspiration from artists including Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and 6LACK. The result is a sound that blends soulful melodies, introspective lyricism, and emotionally honest storytelling.

Throughout his independent career, BRXTN has cultivated a loyal and growing audience, amassing hundreds of thousands of streams across digital platforms. His journey has included collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Smoke DZA and performances on some of the region's biggest stages, including Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, where he opened for R&B icons Keith Sweat and Dru Hill. Following an early chapter with independent label NLG Records, BRXTN chose to pursue a greater vision by founding his own record label, For Now & Forever, where he serves as the flagship artist.
